Responsible for the design plans, specifications, cost estimate and quantities for the realignment of 179th St. to create a four-leg signalized intersection. The reconstruction will include the removal of one existing cast in place concrete box culvert under US Rte. 6 and replace it in-kind. The length of improvement along US Rte. 6 will be approximately 1500 ft. The length of improvement along 179th St./Brook Hill Dr. will be approximately 1100 ft. Construction will be completed utilizing Staged Construction. Additional work will include two new left turn lanes at the intersection, right turn lanes, drainage improvements, lighting, bicycle and pedestrian paths and utility relocation. This project is federally funded and coordination between municipalities and other local agencies is required.
